It has been often quoted that no change can occur without suffering and no creation without destruction. Devidas Thakur (Vidyut Jammwal) recalls his gunshot childhood as he flies back from Singapore for his mother’s birthday. He intends to just be a visitor to the world he left behind and to take his beloved Pari (Shruti Haasan) away. He intends to leave his loving, loyal albeit power hungry family behind to rule their ‘kingdom’ in Mumbai, so he can be a chef. Fate however, has other intentions.
